Suitable audience:
This workshop is aimed at any person who is to take on the role of mentor to a colleague. The course is tailored to reflect experience and the level required of those participating and to meet the particular needs of your organisation.
Overview:
Mentoring offers confidential time and space to focus on an individuals` career and personal development and support their progress within an Organisation and benefits them and the organisation alike. It also, by sharing and discussing problems, builds mentees’ self-assurance, enabling them to make the most of their inherent potential and contribution to the Organisation.
Topics to be covered include:
To help mentors and mentees develop a productive and rewarding working relationship, and to develop the mutual knowledge, skills and confidence necessary for achieving positive mentoring outcomes by working through work challenges.
Objectives:
• Define what mentoring is
• Recognise and effectively manage the pitfalls and challenges associated with the mentoring process
• Develop effective working relationships and rapport between mentor and mentee
• Describe the role and key skills of an effective mentor
• Prepare for a mentoring session
• Carry out a career, performance and personal development discussion

Kevin trains on a range of skills and leadership and management topics for Local Authorities, Law Firms, Housing Associations and organisations in the Financial Services sector as well as large commercial organisations. He provides executive coaching and training up to and including Board level.
His speciality is to provide skills and knowledge to those seeking to make their organisations better able to face the future and deal with the challenges they will encounter in an increasingly changing and competitive world.
