Presenter profiles:
Steven Smith, Partner, leads Bevan Brittan’s local authority team in London. Steven specialises in large scale regeneration and development schemes. He advises a wide variety of national and regional public and private sector organisations involved in this area, including Greater London Authority, the Homes and Communities Agency and the City of London, as well as a range of significant London Boroughs and other local authorities across the UK.
Stephen Pearson is a Public sector Commercial Partner with Freeths in Nottingham. He advises a number of RSLs on a range of issues including Public Procurement and State Aid and has acted on a number of Housing PPPs and JVs including major Privately-funded Social Housing schemes in South Wales, Cumbria and Nottingham City Councils Local Housing Company project
Matthew Grocock is a Partner in Freeths Social Housing Team, and is currently ranked in the Legal 500 for Social Housing. He deals with residential and commercial development for house builders and for Registered Providers of Social Housing, and has advised on lease and lease back transactions with Aviva for RPs, liaising with the HCA to secure their consent to the transaction, as well as advising RPs on shared ownership leases and Extra Care.
