Lawyers involved in taking or defending proceedings for judicial review or advising on how to avoid successful judicial review challenges against their organisations.
Overview:
General principles of administrative law; grounds upon which a judicial review challenge could be based; consultation and case law update; practical application.

Presenter profiles:
Laura Hughes, Browne Jacobson specialises in administrative and public law and has extensive experience of dealing with the governance and decision making of government bodies, educational institutions, local authorities and health bodies. She has advised clients on a range of matters including scope of statutory powers and functions, judicial reviews and public inquiries.
Anita Bradley, Browne Jacobson is a partner in the public sector practice with nine years’ recent experience as a monitoring officer and head of a legal service in the public sector. Anita joined Browne Jacobson in February 2016. Anita specialises in administrative and public law and has extensive experience of dealing with decision making and vires issues and code of conduct complaints and investigations. She also undertakes planning and environmental law work and information law.
