Presenter profiles
Lisa Gilligan is a Director at Freeths Leicester office. She has extensive licensing experience having previously worked both in private practice and for a local authority. She deals with the full range of licensing applications and hearings. She has considerable advocacy experience and also represents clients at PACE interviews dealing with a broad range of licensing and regulatory issues. Lisa is also recognised by the Chambers UK Guide as a Leader in the field of Licensing.
Lyn Sugden, Gedling Borough Council is 20 years pqe, 10 years in private practice (civil litigation) and 8 years local authority – working for a Borough Council. Her remit is wide ranging covering both public and private law. She is also an Associate Lecturer with the Open University (Public Law and Criminal Law).
Mark Diggle from Ropewalk Chambers was called to the Bar in 1996. He has conducted prosecutions for local authorities in the areas of planning and benefit fraud both in the Magistrates and Crown Courts. Mark provides advice and representation in the area of licensing in particular Hackney Carriage and Private Hire vehicle licensing and liquor licensing.
