Course overview
This course will cover an overview of the State aid rules covering the concept of State aid, the rules on local aid, methodology for assessing compliance with the market economy operator principle, the special State aid rules applying to services of general economic interest, the interplay between the State aid rules and the procurement rules and how the State aid rules impact on a variety of alternative service delivery models

Bethan Lloyd is a Partner in the Commercial Services team at Geldards. She is a very experienced State aid practitioner and has advised a wide range of public sector bodies on all aspects of State aid law. Bethan’s other areas of specialism are competition law and procurement law.
