ConsortEM newsletter

Winter 2016

Welcome to the winter edition of the ConsortEM newsletter for EM LawShare members.

In this edition of ConsortEM, we have a number of articles which illustrate how the impact of Brexit is likely to be massive and far reaching. We take a look at how Brexit will be a major consideration for a wide range of issues including the possible repeal of the Human Rights Act and whether the proposed integration of health and social care will survive post Brexit.

Click here to download a copy and find out what is happening within the EM LawShare network.

This edition includes articles on:

  • Do not forget this alternative method for council tax collection.
  • Local authorities and the Human Rights Act.
  • Planning aspects of the Neighbourhood Planning Bill.
  • Long term planning of major projects.
  • Spotlight on Nicola de Bruin from High Peak Borough Council.
  • Health and social care forward to 2020.
  • Bus Services Bill 2016.

We also update you with news of new EM LawShare members, the upcoming events in our CPD training programme and our plans to extend the training programme to hold courses in London.
